A lovely parlor guitar with a bright, punchy tone, but will require a bit of work to get it into better playing condition.
Cosmetic Condition: Considering it's over 100 years old, the guitar has held up rather well over the years, but there are of course signs of age & play wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. There are various top cracks that have been repaired & some that weren't. There's a small hole in the bass-side of the body, lower bout. Overall the guitar has a great vibe to it with an authentic vintage charm.
Neck: V-shaped mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with practically no wear. Slotted headstock with side-mounted strip tuners & ivoroid buttons. 1 3/4" nut width 21 3/8" scale length. Neck is straight, but the neck angle is such that the guitar really requires a neck reset to get the action lower. String height at the 12th fret is about 1/4".
Body: Solid spruce top with pyramid bridge & multi-ring rosette. Solid mahogany back & sides. 11 1/4" lower bout width; 8" upper bout width; 16" body length. There are no electronics & the guitar weighs a delightful 2 lbs 0.2 oz.
Case: There is no case.
