Description
Second year of the HD-28, this charming dreadnought offers a warm, rich tone with a big, boomy voice that projects exceptionally well. Professionally set up with fresh strings.
Cosmetic Condition: Pretty good shape for a nearly 50 year old guitar - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches & weather checking. The pickguard is peeling up a bit, but overall the guitar has a great look with an authentic vintage vibe & beautiful patina.
Neck: Mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets show a tiny bit of wear, but still have plenty of life in them. Grover Rotomatic tuners & diamond volute. 1 11/16" nut width ; 25.4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Double-bound dreadnought body with herringbone purfling. Solid spruce top with ebony bridge. There's an overlay on the bridge plate. Cream bridge pins with black dot inlays. Black pickguard & multi-ring rosette. Solid Indian rosewood back & sides with zig zag center strip. There are no electronics & the guitar weighs 4 lbs 8.9 oz.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
