Rare Great Plains model made in Winfield, Kansas. This splendid dreadnought boasts a rich, robust tone with superb playability & plenty of volume. Gorgeous appointments include herringbone purfling & some light flame figuring in the neck. Professionally set up by our own luthier, so it's in great playing condition & sounds absolutely amazing!
Cosmetic Condition: Really great shape considering the guitar is over 40 years old. There are various nicks, dents & dings throughout; surface scratches & mild weather checking. In other words, used but not abused. Overall the guitar has a wonderful look to it with a beautiful patina.
Neck: Soft V-shaped mahogany neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Beautiful, dark rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets show some light wear, but have plenty of life in them. Bound headstock with rosewood overlay.
Nickel Grover Rotomatic tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is in good working condition.
Body: Double-bound dreadnought body with solid spruce top & herringbone purfling. Rosewood bridge with cream end pins. Tortoise pickguard & herringbone rosette. Solid, 3-piece rosewood back & rosewood sides. There are no electronics & the guitar weighs 4 lbs 12.8 oz.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
