A fantastic player with a marvelous natural resonance. These older Ric basses can sometimes be a bit finicky, but this is a truly good one, offering superb tone & feel, highly sought-after in the solid body bass market. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action, so it's ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Pretty nice shape actually considering it's over 40 years old - various surface scratches with some mild weather checking & finish wear throughout.
Neck: Nicely rounded maple neck with aged cream binding & black side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl triangle inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Grover USA Pat Pend tuners in perfect working condition. 1 5/8" nut width; 34" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rods work fine.
Body: Neck-thru design with solid maple wings & black top binding. Top-loading bridge with adjustable saddles. Two-piece black plexi pickguard. Bass weighs 9 lbs 7.2 oz.
Electronics: Original Hi-Gain single coils with 3-way toggle switch. The bridge pickup has its original cover. Dual volume & tone controls; mono & stereo outputs. Two pot codes date to '79 & the other two are covered by the solder points. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Later-period Rickenbacker hardshell case included.
