Description
What makes this bass special: 100% original & in great shape for its age. The single "lipstick" pickup produces a warm, punchy tone thanks in part to the Masonite body. Complete with original hardshell case, this true vintage 1444 is ready for action upon arrival.
Cosmetic Condition: Various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, light weather checking & some mild finish wear. Overall the bass has a great look to it with a cool vibe.
Neck: Poplar neck with Brazilian rosewood fingerboard & white dot inlays. There's even a cool little knot in the wood on the treble side of the 11th fret. The knot does not affect playability. Raised Silvertone headstock logo. Kluson Deluxe tuners are upside down, but are in perfect working condition. 1 5/8" nut width; 30" scale length. Neck has a slight bow in it, but is still playable.
Body: Semi-hollow Masonite body with white vinyl trim. Metal tailpiece with simple wooden bridge & clear plexi pickguard. Bass weighs 6 lbs 4.5 oz.
Electronics: Single coil "lipstick" pickup with master volume & tone controls. Pots date to '64 & all electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
