Description
A rare, true vintage beauty that was just recently acquired from the second owner who purchased the guitar in 1980. The aluminum neck feels & plays great & the carved Koa body shows off some really gorgeous variegation in the wood. Professionally inspected & set up by the experts at Cream City Music, so it's ready to play straight out of the case!
Cosmetic Condition: Great shape considering it's nearly 50 years old, with some light play wear - various tiny nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches & mild finish wear. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a gorgeous patina.
Neck: Nicely rounded aluminum neck with white side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl block inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. T cutout headstock with Schaller diecast tuners. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length.
Body: Double-cutaway solid Koa body with a carved top. String-thru bridge with six adjustable saddles & chrome pickguard. Guitar weighs 10 lbs 14.3 oz.
Electronics: Dual humbuckers with Travis Bean engraved in the covers & 3-way toggle switch. Dual volume & tone controls with black speed knobs. Pots date to '78 & all electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included along with original Travis Bean brochures & spec manual - now how cool is that!
