Description

These old Vox basses are so much fun to play due to their super skinny necks & woody, acoustic tones. This lovely Saturn IV features a hollow body with just a single neck pickup. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action so it plays & sounds terrific!

Cosmetic Condition: Various surface scratches & some weather checking, but pretty good shape overall.

Neck: Super skinny maple neck with aged white binding & black side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with practically no wear. "Paddle" headstock with raised Vox logo. Open-gear "clover" tuners with double string trees. 1 7/16" nut width with zero fret; 30" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.

Body: Double-bound, hollow body with Florentine cutaway & bound F-holes. Vox tailpiece with adjustable bridge on a floating base. 3-ply cream pickguard has warped a bit. The back pad is in great shape with all its snaps & no tears. Bass weighs 6 lbs 4.7 oz.

Electronics: Single coil neck pickup. Master volume & tone controls with white "top hat" knobs. The volume control is missing its reflector insert. All electronics are in good working condition.

Case: Vintage chipboard case included - the case is in rough shape & the bass just barely manages to squeeze inside, so it's a pretty tight fit.
