Description

A fun little archtop featuring a solid spruce top with gorgeous flame maple back & sides. The chunky neck is very comfortable & plays well up & down the fretboard. The sound is rich, bright & punchy & quite loud actually. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action, so it's ready to play straight out of the case.

Cosmetic Condition: Various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. A lot of the gold plating has worn off the tuners, but they all function fine. Overall the guitar has a cool, vintage vibe to it with a nice patina.

Neck: Chunky, soft V-shaped maple neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Beautiful Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl inlays. Small frets are in good condition & show only a tiny bit of wear. Tortoise headstock overlay with Weymann script logo. Open-back tuners are in good working condition. 1 3/4" nut width; 25" scale length. There is a slight twist in the neck around the 5th fret, but for the most part the guitar plays well up & down the fretboard. String height at the 12th fret is 6/64" on the treble side & 5/64" on the bass side.

Body: Solid spruce top with dual F-holes. Unoriginal chrome trapeze tailpiece with floating rosewood bridge. Pickguard is missing. Maple back & sides with some gorgeous flame figuring in the back. 15 1/2" lower bout width; 11 1/4" upper bout width; 3 1/2" depth. There are no electronics & the guitar weighs 3 lbs 15.5 oz.

Case: Vintage hardshell case included. The case is quite rough & the lid completely separates from the body when unclasped. However, it appears to be original to the guitar & serves its purpose well.
