Description
The Vongon Paragraphs is an analog four-pole resonant low pass filter with an attack, decay, and waveform generator, designed with a focus on simplicity and flexibility. If you're an adventurous player looking to create massive, warbled synth-like sounds, the Paragraphs is the perfect pedal for you.
At the heart of the Paragraphs' low pass filter circuit is an AS3320 analog chip, a modern replica of the one used in analog classics like the Sequential Prophet 5, Pro-One mono-synth, Elka Synthex, and the LinnDrum, giving it a rich, authentic sound. Its cutoff spans the full audio spectrum, allowing for massive tone-sculpting potential, and self-oscillation starts around 70% for folks looking to get experimental. The Paragraphs' envelope generator - the real magic behind its sound - offers a wide range of frequency modulation, starting as low as 0.05 Hz and reaching up to (and past) the audio threshold at 300 Hz. Keep it low, and you'll conjure massive, slowly evolving cycles. Crank it, and this pedal will create a wave shaping effect similar to sounds found on west coast style synthesizers. And, if you like adding a little grit to your signal, the Paragraphs has a drive control that can take your sound from crystal-clear to clipped and distorted.
Complete with Control Voltage and MIDI inputs for remotely triggering the envelope generator, the Vongon Paragraphs is excellent for players who love toying with experimental synth effects.
