Description
Vongon's Ultrasheer Stereo Reverb and Vibrato pedal takes inspiration from the early digital studio effects units of the late '70s, making it perfect for old-school tone purists. Featuring loads of gorgeous, lush sounds and an intuitive, satisfyingly tactile interface, this pedal is worth every cent.
The Ultrasheer's reverb algorithm is based on the plate reverb sounds of the 1978 Lexicon 224, giving it a warm, rich voice. Its unique blend of legacy digital processing and modern, high-quality components creates a thick, retro sound, great for creating anything from subtle echoes to walls of cavernous reverb. The vibrato setting is a smooth, transparent digital pitch shifter that preserves the integrity of your signal without darkening or muddying the tone, and it offers plenty of versatility. Users can select between two modulation waveforms, "cycle," a sine wave for classic Leslie-speaker-type sounds, and "random," which creates warbles and sputters, similar to a warped vinyl or sun-baked cassette. Mix and match these sounds to your liking, and you'll be impressed with the near-infinite amount of sounds the Ultrasheer can conjure.
Complete with a hand-sanded walnut block enclosure, Vongon's Ultrasheer is excellent for players seeking a premium, vintage-inspired stereo reverb pedal.
