Description
The Fender John 5 Ghost Telecaster - White takes John 5's longtime connection with the Telecaster and turns it into a purpose-built hard rock instrument. Its solid nyatoh body keeps the familiar Tele shape, but the gloss white top, satin back, matching headcap, mirror pickguard, red accents, and streamlined electronics move it well outside traditional Tele territory. For players who want the direct feel of a Tele but need an instrument designed around high-output pickups and fast, aggressive playing, the Ghost has a very specific job in mind.
A pair of DiMarzio D Activator humbuckers provides the high-output foundation, with a three-position toggle for moving between the two pickups. The control layout is deliberately minimal with a single master volume and a dedicated kill switch, giving you quick access to volume cuts and rhythmic stutter effects without extra controls in the way. The maple neck uses John 5's custom Medium "C" profile, a 9.5" radius maple fingerboard, and 22 narrow tall frets. A 25.5" scale keeps the response tight, while the 1.69" Micarta nut gives the neck a little more room across the strings.
A six-saddle Tele bridge with a humbucker cutout keeps intonation adjustment straightforward, and Deluxe cast/sealed locking tuners make string changes easier while providing dependable tuning hardware. We think the Ghost Telecaster makes the most sense for someone who likes the ergonomics and immediacy of a Tele but doesn't need traditional Tele electronics. This is John 5's version of the platform, stripped down, high output, and built around the things he actually uses.
