Description
This ultra cool Setzer Hot Rod features an arched maple top with '59 trestle bracing for improved sonic snap & projection. The maple neck is exceptionally comfortable for chording & speedy riffing across 22 medium frets with pearloid Neo-Classic thumbnail inlays. His bare-bones Hot Rod controls include only a three-position pickup toggle switch & master volume control with treble bleed circuit. The pinned Adjusto-Matic bridge with rosewood base, Bigsby B6C vibrato tailpiece & Sperzel locking tuners ensure bullet-proof performance night after night.
Cosmetic Condition: Aside from a couple of small finish chips in the top of the headstock, the guitar is in great shape & still rather clean looking.
Neck: V-shaped maple neck with white binding & black side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl thumbnail inlays. Frets show a tiny bit of wear, but have plenty of life in them. Sperzel locking tuners & Hot Rod headstock emblem. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works perfectly.
Body: Double-bound, hollow maple body with dual F-holes & '59 Trestle Bracing. Bigsby B6C vibrato tailpiece & Adjusto-Matic bridge with pinned rosewood base. Gretsch silver plexi pickguard with Hot Rod logo. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 4.7 oz.
Electronics: Filter'Tron humbuckers with silver bezles. 3-way toggle switch & master volume control with "G" Arrow knob. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included along with COA.
