The Synergy Friedman BE-DLX Preamp Module combines two of the most sought-after Friedman amp voices into a single, highly versatile package. Based on the legendary BE and HBE circuits, the BE-DLX delivers everything from classic British crunch to modern high-gain saturation while preserving the touch sensitivity, articulation, and harmonic richness that have made Friedman amplifiers a staple on stages and in studios worldwide. For players who need multiple gain structures without sacrificing feel or responsiveness, this module packs an impressive amount of flexibility into the Synergy platform. As with all Synergy modules, a compatible Synergy amplifier or preamp dock is required for operation.
Powered by two 12AX7 preamp tubes, the BE-DLX features two identical channels, each equipped with independent Gain, Volume, and 3-Band EQ controls. Dedicated BE/HBE switches on each channel allow you to move between the classic BE voice and the hotter, more aggressive HBE gain structure, making it easy to set up separate rhythm and lead sounds or two distinct gain levels. Each channel also includes a SAT switch for additional saturation and sustain. Internal FAT and Gain Structure switches further expand the module's range by allowing you to increase low-end response or reduce overall gain for more vintage-inspired tones. A three-position Cathode Select switch provides additional control over the module's feel and bass response.
