The Synergy Soldano SLO II Preamp Module brings the unmistakable voice of the legendary SLO-100 into the Synergy platform with even greater flexibility than the original module. Designed in collaboration with Mike Soldano, the SLO II captures the thick harmonic content, articulate response, and endless sustain that made the Super Lead Overdrive a benchmark for high-gain amplification. From classic hard rock to modern lead tones, this module delivers the sound that has inspired players ranging from Warren DeMartini and Mick Mars to Eric Clapton and Mark Knopfler. As with all Synergy modules, a compatible Synergy amplifier or preamp dock is required for operation.
Powered by two 12AX7 preamp tubes, the SLO II features two fully independent channels, each equipped with its own Gain, Bass, Middle, and Treble controls. New to the SLO II are dedicated Crunch/Overdrive switches on each channel, allowing you to configure the module with two crunch channels, two overdrive channels, or one of each. Independent Normal/Tight switches further expand the tonal range, offering everything from the classic Soldano feel to a more focused and percussive response suited for modern playing styles. A three-position Cathode Select switch allows additional tailoring of the module's feel and low-end response.
