Fender's Limited Edition HM Strat is a reissue of the originals that were produced from 1988-1992, and were originally made as a response to the "Super Strats" of the era. The HM stands for Heavy Metal, and this Made-in-Japan Strat's specs certainly live up to its name. Its narrow-profile "C"-shaped neck, 25.1" scale length, 24 frets, and 17" radius fingerboard all contribute to a fast-playing feel that shredders will love. It also features a Floyd Rose Special recessed bridge so that you stay in-tune even after the heaviest dive-bombs. And thanks to an HSS pickup configuration, you get the crunchy tone of a humbucker along with two single-coils for more traditional Strat sounds. Aesthetically, it comes in a period-correct Ice Blue finish, sports molded "F" logo knobs, and a black headcap with a "STRAT" logo.

Why We Love Fender

It's hard to find a name more synonymous with guitars than Fender. Ever since Leo Fender burst onto the scene with his now-iconic Telecaster, Fender guitars have found homes in the hands of brand new guitar players and seasoned rock stars. When the headstock says Fender, you know you're getting a quality instrument.
